Hi Dan,
We are following your progress and glad to hear your are learning so much about the south. Now we will really be able to communicate next time we get together. :-) There is always the old joke of - Why did the possum cross the road? To prove to the chicken he could do it! In NC we used to say that possums are born dead on the side of the road. So get used to seeing them along your route. Snakes - I was always just as glad to see them dead in the middle of the road as anywhere - obviously I am not a snake person. Keep smiling and know we are cheering you on.
